Welcome to Outdoor-Tek.  My name is David Mitchell and I grew up in a time when going outdoors and enjoying nature came, well, naturally. I hear a lot of concerns from adults my age, and parents, about kids overly engaged with their tablets and smart phones and missing out on outdoor activities that many of us enjoyed as kids. There is research and programs growing in support of this concern. This is a program that encourages students' desire to discover the exciting natural world.  I hope this gives teachers, parents and anyone interested in discovering nature with children, one more tool in your toolbox to enhance that discovery.
